Fifth & Pacific buying 100 percent of Kate Spade brand

Fifth and Pacific said its Kate Spade brand is buying out the interest of its partner Sanei International Co.’s 51% stake in the partnership.

Fifth and Pacific sold the Monet and Liz Claiborne brands to J.C. Penney. It believes it will be more profitable to focus on the Kate Spade, Lucky Brand, and Juicy Couture brands.
